World Championship title with German handlebar components

Christoph Sauser is the 2007 MTB-Marathon World Champion. Back in 1999 the currently 31 year-old Swiss won his first World Cup race - with 11 World Cup victories this puts the two times overall winner in second place behind MTB legend Thomas Frischknecht. But it wasn’t until the 12 August 2007 that he was ready for his first brilliant superior victory: With more than 5 minutes ahead of number two Roel Paulissen, the victory of Christoph “Susi” Sauser in the MTB-World Champinships in the Belgian Verviers was truly astonishing. And this time the avid light-weight enthusiast didn’t have the bad luck which had already cost him many titles: His Specialized Epic dually weighing in at just 9kg virtually flew over the course, 105km’s and 3300m altitude difference constantly alternating between dry and muddy trail conditions.

As you would expect, on board were top components from Syntace - the F99 stem and Duraflite Carbon handlebar, strong light-weight components (combined under 230g!) offering the best combination in reliability and durability.
